New Interview with Elizabeth Reaser by Daily Tribune - “Every director has their own way of seeing Esme”
The role of the character of the Mother of Edward Cullen in “Twilight” Esme is in the hands of Primetime Emmy nominee Elizabeth Reaser, a native of Bloomfield Hills who won the role that many actresses in Hollywood wanted.
Reaser said she always makes time for his fans in Oakland County, despite his busy agenda of Oslo, Norway, to New York City promoting “Breaking Dawn - Part 1,” the latest installment of the saga “Twilight” and his upcoming “Young Adult” with Charlize Theron.
“It’s my hometown, I am always for her,” he said.
Reaser said she would love the premiere of the upcoming film “Twilight” in Michigan.
“I think the only person who has the power to make it happen is Taylor (Lautner),” Reaser said. “I think if he says’ I want to do a premiere in Detroit,” could make it happen. I think it’s an amazing idea. “
Reaser said it would be an ambassador for Michigan and to convey the idea Lautner.
As if to share screen time with Robert Pattinson and Lautner, a fellow Michigan, not enough, Reaser had the opportunity to work with directors contrasting each installment of the franchise. Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight”) Reaser seal within the series while Chris Weitz (“New Moon”), David Slade (“Eclipse”) and Bill Condon (“Breaking Dawn”) all use the actress in their own individual recipes the background.
“I love having a different director on each occasion. I think all books are very different and need different directors, “said Reaser. “Each person brought their own vision of history and acting was great and different because you have to re-design your character to some extent, not fully established because who are these people, but each director has their own way of seeing Esme and I work with them, so I played with it through the years. “
Reaser said she has had to take the global appeal of the film across the shouts and cheers of the fans called “Twi-Hards” on the red carpet of the premiere. But Reaser said he is familiar with the movie as a matinee and enjoy a casual audience buying your own ticket.
“I’m going to sneak in a real audience because I think it is the EXPERIENCE fun just to be part of it - a real audience,” said Reaser. “This film is about the fans. I never tire of fans known as such throughout the world. There is an emotional connection with the characters. It’s an incredible experience to be on the other end of it. “
The Saga “Twilight” has caused the popularity of homemade items and licensed merchandise worldwide.
“It’s surreal. I have nothing of it, but my mom buys these things, and I think it mPas fun for her … I think it’s very surreal, when I walk into a bookstore and see games ‘Twilight’ and loibros on the making of the film . I’m impressed. “
Finding the correct description of its last director, Reaser paused before speaking kindly about Condon. “Simply the sweetest man. It’s amazing that we have someone of his caliber in this, because I think this was a difficult book to all those elements. You have a franchise built for these great moments. He is cute and understands the history, it is an Oscar winner and screenwriter. “
Reaser is a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Bloomfield Hills. Her character is transformed from cautious Esme and entrusted to function as a complete response force as it protects the clan of vampires in the latest installment.
“I never really know how they will end juntos.No seen anything of ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2.’ I definitely love the melodrama at the end of this, “he said.
“Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1” is currently leading the worldwide box office, while there will be a limited release of “Young Adult” on December 9, followed by national release on December 16.
