In the biggest win of Relativity Media to date, the 3D action epic, Immortals topped the domestic box office with 32 million dollars in its debut, while another 36 million collected in the stranger for a global estimate of 68 million dollars.

[…] Looking weekend had suggested follow-up of 25 to 26 million dollars on opening weekend for Immortals, but the movie was lifted on the strength of the fans and is the third release of R rated Hangover after year 2 (85 million) and Paranormal activity (52 million). This is also the biggest opening of Relativity Media since it went to market distribution.


Men are 60% of the audience of Immortals, while 75% are below 35 years. Hispanics are a segment of the audience lard with 35%, followed by Caucasians with 30%. The film attracted 66% of these revenues for 3D displays.
